Lebanon, TN – Early Voting for the May 3rd Republican and Democratic Primary Elections will continue until Thursday, April 28th. There are four convenient Early Voting sites for Wilson County voters to take advantage of every day of the Early Voting period.
Early Voting has become a tradition among Wilson County voters. In November of 2020 over 80% of those that voted did so during Early Voting. The number of eligible voters in Wilson County will soon top 100,000. As the population and number of registered voters continue to grow, providing adequate polling places and a great voting experience is a challenge for the Election Commission. The four Early Voting sites as well as the 18 Election Day Vote Centers provides a convenient voting experience for Wilson County voters.
Registered Wilson County voters may vote at any of the four locations during the Early Voting period regardless of where they live. Having four sites for Early Voting means voters can vote on their way to or from work, when they pick up or drop off the children at school, when shopping or just at a convenient time and day during the Early Voting period.
“Early Voting has become a tradition with many Wilson County voters. Choosing the best day, time and most convenient location to vote early has made Election Day for many a day to relax and watch the election results knowing their vote is already cast,” says Administrator of Elections Tammy Smith.
Early voting for the May 3rd Republican and Democratic Primaries runs through April 28th. All four sites are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 6:00pmand on Saturday from 8:00 am until 1:00pm. Election Day is Tuesday, May 3rd when polls will be open from7:00am until 7:00pm.
